The Birds, the Bees and Everything in Between: A Sex Ed Workshop for Parents of Young Children
This Workshop is for You If:
- You want your kids to have a POSITIVE and HEALTHY view of their bodies and relationships.
- You are UNSURE of how to answer difficult questions.
- You feel EMBARRASSED and UNCOMFORTABLE at the idea of “The Talk!”
- You want to learn how to communicate with EASE to your kids about sex and sexuality.
About this Workshop
Sex and sexuality are healthy, normal parts of life, and children deserve access to honest, comprehensive, medically-accurate, and age-appropriate education. Teaching about healthy sexuality actually starts before your children can even talk and continues throughout their lives. However, many parents struggle with finding the right language to help children navigate this terrain.
In this interactive workshop, you will learn age-appropriate topics to discuss at each stage of your child’s development, practice communication tips to be an approachable parent, and discover resources to help build your knowledge of sexuality. We will cover topics such as body image, anatomy, gender identity, sexual orientation, media literacy, bullying, consent, abuse, and healthy relationships. Open to parents, grandparents, and guardians of kids aged 0-12 years.
